Hero Happy Hour: Super Shot #3 - Eradicator (M&M3e)

Sun, 10/16/2011 - 03:08
 Super Shot #3 - Eradicator (M&M3e)Publisher: Rhinotaur

Now serving the third round of Hero Happy Hour for the Mutants & Masterminds 3rd Edition rule system!

Imagine pulling a stool up to the bar and sipping a frosty pint of our favorite beverage as you listen in on the conversations of the "regulars" that frequent the neighborhood tavern. But, this establishment is unlike any other bar. The Hideout Bar & Grill caters to the super heroes of First City. And, this watering hole serves as more than just a place to wash away a rough day of protecting and serving society as crime-fighting crusaders. For these "regular heroes" it is "a place where everyone knows your name," secret identity or not.

Each Hero Happy Hour: Super Shot focuses on an individual super hero or super villain from the fan-favorite comic book and webcomic, Hero Happy Hour--which showcases familiar super hero archetypes in a unique and humorous fashion. Besides a character write-up specifically “super powered for M&M”, each Hero Happy Hour: Super Shot also features a detailed origin, an explanation of powers and skills, their relationship to the Hideout Bar & Grill, and an Adventure Shot.

Hero Happy Hour: Super Shot #3 features Eradicator -- Phil Phillips relishes in his role as "First City's Number One Bad-a$$ Super Hero Vigilante" -- a title that he bestowed upon himself. When he's not knocking criminal skulls and kicking villain butt, he can be found at The Hideout Bar & Grill knocking back drinks during Hero Happy Hour.

Camp Wicakini: Part II - AEther

Sun, 10/16/2011 - 00:37
Part II - AEtherPublisher: Silver Gryphon Games

NO MAPS ARE INCLUDED WITH THE BASE FILE.  You may either use the maps from the original Camp Wicakini or purchase the Product Bundle which includes maps of the camper cabins, the counselor cabins, the groundskeeper's house, and the shelter house, as well as the complete camp layout!

Get the Bundle by Clicking here and get the maps and the adventure for just $3.75!

Something's gone wrong at a summer camp deep in the woods.  Very, very wrong.  If it had been just punk kids screwing around, that would be one thing, but the report came in from the State Patrol's office, and it was a confused, scared report...almost nervous to be turning in a report on...zombies?

They dispatched an officer, but he turned back and wants immediate backup from the FBI.  It just so happens that a special team is in Denver and you're a member of that team.  It's a quick 6 hour trip to the camp from Denver, and you're briefed on what to expect.  Zombies, man...what is the world coming to?

This sandbox style adventure follows the first Camp Wicakini adventure by a few hours.  Something bad has gone down at the once-peaceful summer camp and it's your job to clean it up.  The Special Agent Cosgrove, your boss, isn't looking for answers or something to study.  He wants the problem stepped on and resolved with extreme prejudice.

This adventure is a direct sequel, following the events that happened in the first camp, but using different characters.  It is set up with guidelines on how to run it whether the original adventure was run or not, and it has a few new surprises for players who are familiar with the first treatment of Camp Wicakini.

This adventure is available for the Æther and Savage Worlds systems.  Also included with this adventure are new maps from Fabled Environments, cleaning up the original maps from the first adventure.  While the adventure itself it only 11 pages long, its sandbox nature makes it ideal for a convention game, or even a full-day one-shot adventure.  When combined with the first Camp Wicakini, it is twice the fun and twice the horror!

A Torn World Overland MapPublisher: Torn World

You know what I see? I see a land full of weak unnecessary fools, afraid of their own mortality and boxed in by the morals of their uncaring gods, living a sheltered life. They are blinded by their own ignorance and left wanting.

I am a knight of a powerful god, one who watches over this barren desolate land... And he is unhappy with the filth that he sees. I have been charged to grasp this dying land with my hands and squeeze... I am to bring order and discipline to these pathetic people. They will hate me for it, oh yes, but in time they will see that what I am doing is right. I will bring strength. I will bring peace. I will bring unity.

And I will kill every single man, woman and child that dare stand in my way...
Lady Sasha Yanovsk

Shadow Vale: A Torn World Overland Map

Sat, 10/15/2011 - 03:38
A Torn World Overland MapPublisher: Torn World

The Torn World Overland Map Series features high resolution images of the Torn World Atlas; an open fantasy setting for use in any system. This map is the isolated region of Shadow Vale, located in the heart of Maras and explained in detail on our website:

For use in your Torn World gaming session, or equally suited for dungeonmasters looking for overland maps to support alternate systems.

Wyash crouched and pressed old fingers to the still soft ground. It had rained recently, but these tracks were unmistakable; goblins. And lots of them. He squinted across the trail towards broken twigs here and a kicked over stone there and frowned; there was something else, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. Standing upright with a barely perceptible grunt the venerable hunter straightened the bow on his back absent mindedly and scratched a bearded chin. They would not believe this at the village, of that he was sure; they never listened to him and talk of goblins would only induce even more incredulity. goblins? This far East? Preposterous! He could hear the laughter now and grimaced. Still, the tracks were clear and he had to report it to someone; goblins in these parts could only mean trouble.

This Overland Map Pack includes:

  • TWO high resolution overland maps:
    • 1 High resolution overland map representing Shadow Vale on a 200 x 200 mile scale in PDF and JPEG format.
    • 1 High resolution map of Shadow Vale showing the political regions
  • Overview of the region politics, climate and motivations

The Dragon's Master (D&D 4e)

Fri, 10/14/2011 - 20:45
The Dragon's Master (D&D 4e)Publisher: Darklight Interactive

"The Dragon's Master" is a short delve (5 encounters) for a group of of 5th level characters, compatible with the Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition game system.

Skeebo led a hard life. Small even by kobold standards, he was constantly mocked by the others in his clan and tormented by their leader: a black dragon named Pyraxis. Not strong enough to be useful as a soldier and not smart enough to be a mage, he was forced to do all the menial tasks that the rest of the Ashen Kobolds didn't feel like doing. And if he resisted or refused to do what he was told, he risked getting eaten by Pyraxis.

One day, while wandering about the Ashen Swamp, Skeebo made an astonishing discovery: an artifact of unprecedented power that was seemingly discarded in the muck. After donning the artifact, everything changed; he no longer was he the puny kobold that everyone picked on... It was the chance he was looking for to show the others what he was capable of, and show the other kobolds, the humans in the nearby village of Haven, and especially that big, dumb dragon who the "supreme kobold" really was.

Tactical map of the encounter is still under development and will be provided free of charge as part of this package; those that have already purchased it will be notified and provided a link where they may download it directly.

Dark Times in Brighton is an adventure for four to six characters of 1st - 2nd level.  Although designed as a Labyrinth LordTM compatible product, It is easily compatible with most fantasy RPG systems.  In addition to the adventure itself, contained within these pages are details of Brighton and its people, a town that could easily become an important part of your character's careers as adventurers.

The town of Brighton exists in the north, at the source of the Daakencraags where the Darkenwolde Forest shades the winding Brother’s River. The legendary adventurer, Richan Thatcher (along with his party of adventurers) carved the place away from a once mighty goblin kingdom. It has prospered for many long decades, until now.

Townsfolk are disappearing from the surrounding countryside. Goblins are on the march once more. If that wasn’t enough, a terrible blighting disease has infected the waters and not even the curative magics of the Temple of the Winds can thwart it. This is indeed a very dark time for Brighton.

Too old to do anything about it himself, Thatcher has sent out a call to any adventurers who will swear their swords to his mighty town and its innocent people.

Are your players hero enough to face down a growing goblin horde? Are they brave enough to fell the mighty goblin shaman, Vir-Kayik? Are they clever enough to find the source of the blight and cleanse the town’s water source? Are they the light to end these dark times in Brighton?
